Santiago Alvarez is dedicated to tango and Argentine folk music.

Originally from Buenos Aires and with 20 years of professional career he brought a new voice to the music of his native land. He has recorded several music albums and toured extensively in Latin America and Europe performing with numerous music ensembles. He also dedicates himself to the teaching aspect of music.

In 2023 he was invited in Hohner´s “Harmonica Masters Workshop” in Trossingen, Germany giving his “Argentine Harmonica” workshop.

In his 2025 Europe tour Alvarez focuses again on his first love, the tango, bringing the European public the sound of the harmonica accompanied with piano.
