Sirius Harmonica Ensemble (Taiwan)
Sirius Harmonica Ensemble has established itself as a prominent force in the harmonica world, having been invited as judges, performing guests, and workshop lecturers by the World Harmonica Festival (WHF) in 2013 and 2021, as well as many other major harmonica festivals. The ensemble's excellence was further recognised when they received the Harmonica Group World Champion title at the 2017 WHF.
Over the past decade, Sirius has been a prominent presence at major international harmonica events across Europe and Asia, including the Asia Pacific Harmonica Festival, Seoul International Harmonica Festival, Harmonica F E N Festival, and Penang Harmonica Festival. They have consistently been invited to play the grand finale at numerous prestigious festivals since 2015. Their captivating performances have earned them a prominent place in the international harmonica community. They have also performed at renowned theatres, convention centres, cultural venues, clubs, and hotels. In recognition of their contributions, Sirius received the Taiwan Top Performing Arts Group award from the National Culture and Arts Foundation in 2022 and 2023.
Sirius' repertoire covers a wide array of musical styles, from Latin and Tango to Pop and Jazz. Their unique arrangements highlight new ways to present these genres using only harmonicas, consistently delivering eye-opening performances to their audiences.
Their dedication extends beyond performance to promoting and educating harmonica music. In Taiwan, they host annual concerts, tours, and the Taiwan Harmonica Music Festival (THMF), the leading harmonica event in East Asia.
