Jang Li (Taiwan)
Jang Li is an internationally acclaimed harmonica player and composer, renowned for his exceptional talent and innovative contributions to harmonica music.
In 2009, he won dual championships in the Jazz Chromatic Harmonica and Blues/Rock/Folk/Country Diatonic Harmonica categories at the World Harmonica Festival (WHF), becoming the first Asian musician to achieve this historic feat. In 2013, he led a chromatic harmonica trio to victory, winning the world championship in the Trio category and demonstrating his extraordinary musical prowess.
In 2021, Jang Li’s original suite Three Scenes of Living earned him the Second Runner-up title in the 1st Hong Kong International Composition Competition for Chromatic Harmonica (Solo Harmonica with Piano). His single-movement harmonica concerto, Brightness Hiding Fantasy, also composed by him, received a Merit Award in the Solo Harmonica with Orchestra category of the same competition, supported by the National Culture and Arts Foundation.
In 2023, Jang Li established Harmoniq Music Limited (Harmoniq Story Art Creation Studio), curating a series of cross-disciplinary artistic events. Through collaborations with creators from fields such as literature, floral art, and oil projection, the studio has crafted unique artistic experiences that have been widely acclaimed.
