Dr. Ernst Hohner Concerthall
Orchestra Hohnerklang (Germany)
The Hohnerklang orchestra from Trossingen, which plays mainly traditional instruments such as harmonicas and accordions, has a clear goal: To present a successful mixture of classical music,
folk, pop and rock.
All the arrangements for this unique line-up were written by conductor Hans-Günther Kölz. He has characterised the unmistakable ‘Hohnerklang sound’.
During the concerts, the orchestra's excellent soloists on harmonica, accordion and recorder impressively demonstrate how interesting the music selection can be with these instruments - it is
characterised by exciting rhythms as well as fascinating melodies.
Founded in 1932 as a pure harmonica orchestra, today the orchestra is a trendsetter in the entire harmonica scene and plays its way into the hearts of its audiences at numerous engagements at
home and abroad.
